A career in Library & Information Management would include being a part of system which will look after organizing and maintaining books, magazines and journals. It is a part of the job profile to categorize the information required by the people visiting the library. A librarian’s job involves wide range of reading and processing information content through cataloguing, classification and indexing, storing documents and retrieving the required information.
Apart from books, now we have e-books, CDs, periodicals, e-resources such as journals and micro-films for various purposes such as education, research and reference.
