Hello Janet,
IAAN school of Mass Communication is affiliated to Makhan Lal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Mass Communication. Many pass-outs work for MNCs like CNN-IBN, NDTV, etc. Students are also doing internships with big names like India News, ET-Now, Zee News, Times of India, Ten Sports, etc.
Fee Structure-
Each semester costs 45,000/ per semester. (Check for latest updates)
Placement-
Like many colleges, it doesn’t help in placement although at the time of admission it gives an assurance of 100% placements.
Faculty
The teachers include some good lecturers who have already worked for Doordarshan, India News, etc. Two famous news readers of the 90’s Manjhari Joshi and Ved Prakash are also a part of the faculty.
Campus
Arpana Bose, who pursued the course from the Institute in the year 2015-16 writes in her review of the college-
”We are taken to various events, talk shows and press conferences. 10-15 such events are held within the duration of 1 semester. We’ve been taken to Aaj tak press conferences with Punya Prasun Bajpai, NDTV talk shows with Barkha Dutt, Aap ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma, etc.”
Apart from theory the students also have to attend camera classes and Editing classes. Writing/ Drama/ Photography/ Cinematography is a part of the curriculum.
Loan and Scholarship provisions
The college offers loan to the students via Bank of Baroda (Bharat Nagar branch).
Conclusion- Most of the students go for Mass communication course because they want to be an actor, an anchor, a journalist. But while pursuing there is no one thing to do. Editing, script writing, story writing etc. is a part of the course.
Given below are two prime institutes I recommend you should go for instead if you want to be guided by the best in the business.
