In the management education industry, IMS proudly brags about being one of the oldest institutes in India, the foundation laid by Prof. Nagesh Raghunath Rane. In the olden times, MBA did not have much significance in India, unlike other countries. But Prof. N.R. Rane realized the value of management education and started a correspondence course for MBA entrance examinations. Even after having limited tech resources, the program gained popularity and in no time, Prof. Rane was the ambassador for the MBA program in India. It’s because of IMS that MBA degree got prominence and became the most desired career for the youth.
From its successful journey with the correspondence course, Prof. Rane set up the center in Mumbai & Delhi and started with the Classroom program for MBA preparation. Today, IMS centers are widespread all across the country.
Now, 40 years later, IMS is not only limited to management entrance exams. It has entered other sectors as well, like Bank PO preparation, Law entrance exams etc. It also prepares students for Ivy League entrance exams like Harvard, MIT etc. If we talk about the last year IMS CAT results, more than 4000 IMS students got selected in the premier B-schools in India. We are trying to connect with IMS team to find out the exact figure as to how many students qualified CAT in the year 2016 and the same will be updated here as soon as we gather the information.
118 students got selected in IIMs
Till date, IMS has trained millions of students in various sectors through its chain of 90 centers in around 44 cities. Out of this, many students have been successfully enrolled in top institutions in India, undoubtedly a matter of proud for the IMS community.
