Online application forms for NEET 2018 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is now available for submission. The last date for application submission is Mar 9, 2018, and the last date to pay the fee is Mar 10, 2018. The fact that NEET will be held on May 6, 2018, has cleared uncertainties and is enough to take the aspirants’ enthusiasm to the next level as they practice on the free study material. Aspirants can now prepare and stick to a schedule as the time move towards the D-day.

Aspirants have to be in the age group of 17 to 25 years and there is a five-year age relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC. They need to fill the application form on the official website and should keep their Aadhaar details ready. Whereas NRIs have the option of choosing from Aadhaar or Passport to apply. General and OBC category aspirants need to pay ₹1,400 (₹750 for SC, ST and PH candidates) to appear in this exam. NEET is a gateway for MBBS & MD courses. Aspirants have the option of 10 languages to take this exam. By qualifying NEET they get access to 90,000 MBBS and BD seats in all Government, Private and Deemed Medical colleges across the country. The test will be of 3 hours and will have 180 objective type questions (with 4 options). The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and the syllabus as prescribed by the Medical Council of India is based on the topics of PCM in class XI & XII. Some facts about NEET 2018:

  • It’ll be conducted in offline (pen & paper) mode.
  • Beware of incorrect answers! A correct answer will fetch you 4 marks while an incorrect one will deduct 1 mark.
  • Indians wishing to pursue MBBS/BDS overseas need to qualify NEET.
  • Aspirants can attempt NEET for an unlimited number of times until they reach the age of 25.
