At present no degree, BE or B.Tech is superior to the other. Both of them are similar having equal scope and future in terms of course curriculum, standards and job prospects. Your performance and to a lesser extent your college is what matters.
On the other hand since there are two degree, they must have something to stand out of the other. A course in Bachelor of Engineering deals more at the engineering aspects of science while a course in Bachelor of Technology deals with the technology aspects.
- B.E is knowledge oriented.
- B.Tech is skill oriented.
But this was just the initial thought long back, now this has faded over the time and both the degrees are valued equally and the individual is valued more over the degree in current world. So don’t worry about the degree, choose the best college and work hard to achieve what you have in mind.
Best of luck!
So there is no difference between both the degrees apart from the colleges who offer it. If a college has other courses along with engineering then they call their degree as B.E and if its only an institution for Engineering they offer a B.Tech. The curriculum for both of them are more or less the same. In terms of scope, they hold equal value and have the same future prospects.
There is no difference between these degrees in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have smilar scope and future. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech
(Bachelor of Technology).
Just don’t think so much man. Go ahead and choose the best college possible at your current rank. At the end only the college and experience matters, degree is something that comes at the end. And going with the current trend you can checkout this: http://yourstory.com/2016/05/college-degree-importance/

After independence, In India we have two types of universities, one that offers degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts and Engineering too, and the second set of universities (were named as institutes) offer only degrees in engineering. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)
simply one can have a broad idea that,
BE is knowledge oriented.
B Tech is skill oriented.
BE is more theoritical and B Tech is more practical. In BE we study the reasons also in depth.Well, in other countries there may be some difference between B.E and B.Tech but in the Indian educational systems there are hardly any institutes that hold their actual meaning.
