I appeared for my class 12 boards this year. But I am afraid I would fail. And I don’t want to re-appear because of certain problems and also because if I reappear next year my age will be a factor in getting admission to a college. I want to do a craftsmanship course in food production from one of the IHMs which are one and a half year course. My question is that after that course may I go for graduation despite me being a class 12 drop out??

As far as I know, you need to clear your class 12 from any board to apply for a graduation programme in India.

You have to clear class 12th as for every college this is a prerequisite.
IHM will admit you even if you score in 50s or 60s. Apart from that, age will not be a factor as many people start graduation after taking a year drop. And in your case the course is just of 1.5 years so you will be at the same place at your peers. So don’t wory about the age factor, give your class 12th examinations and do what you want to do 🙂
