I would like to talk about the scope & career prospectus of M.Sc Microbiology & Bio-Technology? I am very much confused between the both subjects as I’m graduated in medical lab technology and I’m very much interested in working with microbes. So please also tell me regarding the career in research work?

Microbiology has good scope in India and abroad. You can work in:
- clinical laboratories
- pharmaceutical companies
You can do specialization in Food microbiology, clinical or medical microbiology etc. if your interest permits you so.
If you take up Biotech, you will get to become a Junior/Senior Research Fellow in governmental organizations or Biotechnologist/Bioinformist/ Quality Analyst/Research Associate, etc in private firms.
Hence you now know the scope of both of these, There is not much difference in the income also.
So choose your interest, i.e. work with microbes! 🙂
