AEEE 2018- Amrita University has announced the dates of online registration and examination for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam 2018. According to the official website, the online registration for AEEE Examination 2018 will start in both online and offline mode from 15 November 2017 onwards. All the details related to Amrita University B.Tech Admission 2018 is available on the official website,https://www.amrita.edu. Amrita Entrance Examination is a University level entrance test which is conducted by the Amrita University. The exam will be held in two different modes i.e. Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P) mode and Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in 96 cities all over the Country. The pen and paper mode will only be available for the aspirants of Karnataka, Tamilnadu, and Kerala States. The online test will be held from 19 to 22 April 2018 and the test in pen and paper mode will be conducted on 28 April 2018.
Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every year on an all India level for admission to 4-year B.Tech Degree programs to its campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). The candidate can choose any mode of examination ie; online and offline. Before filling up the online registration form, candidates should check the complete details of the examination. The aspirants who are applying for the AEEE Exam should fulfil the prescribed requirements of the University in order to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria determine the candidate’s applicability and relevance of the application. Those candidates who are eligible for the application will be able to give the examination. Hence, candidates should check the eligibility criteria that are to be fulfilled by them to appear for the examination.
AEEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates should have passed the 12th class examination with physics, chemistry, and maths as the compulsory subjects with a total of 60% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates holding diploma degree in the field of engineering with 60% are also eligible
- Candidates who are born on or after 1 July 1997.
AEEE 2018 Application Form
The candidates who aspire to get an engineering degree from Amrita University must give the examination which is the major criteria for the admission. The candidates will be admitted on the basis of their rank and score on the merit list. Candidates can either fill the online application form or the offline form. The application process for the AEEE Exam 2018 will be commenced from 15 November 2017 onwards. Meanwhile, check the complete application process-
Online Mode:
- The online application forms will be available on the main website of Amrita University. We will also host the direct link to application form here
- The candidates should register themselves by entering their name and email ID and other required information.
- A password will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidate.
- By entering the password, the candidate can log in to the official site in order to apply for AEEE 2018
- Pay the application fee of INR 1000 which can be done through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking
- Upload the scanned copies of documents such as photograph and signatures in the specified format.
- Submit the application and take a printout of the same for future reference.
Offline Mode:
- To apply offline, the candidates should purchase the OMR printed form worth INR 1,000 from the respective banks, offices or outlets. the candidates can collect the offline application either from the university or from the 3 campuses.
- The application fee must have paid through Demand Draft
- The candidates should fill the required details and the documents should be enclosed with the application form.
- The completed application form should be sent to the university address
AEEE Syllabus 2018
AEEE syllabus comprises topics from three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates should be aware of the syllabus which will be asked for the examination of AEEE 2018. The marking system and structure will be based on the preference and importance of the subjects in the syllabus. The syllabus provides the complete details of the subjects and sessions which are to be prepared well to crack the AEEE Exam 2018.
Mathematics- Complex numbers, Permutation & Combination, Binomial theorem, Sequences and Series, Determinants and matrices, Quadratic equations, Trigonometry, Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion, Probability, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Two Dimensional Geometry, The Straight Line and Pair of Straight Lines, Circles and Family of Circles, Conic Sections, Vector Algebra, Three dimensional Geometry.
Physics- Units and Dimensions, Mechanics, Solid & Fluid, Oscillations and Waves, Heat & Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity and Magnetostatics, electromagnetic Induction and Electromagnetic waves, ray and Wave optics, Modern physics.
Chemistry- Basic Concepts, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Equilibrium and Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Kinetics and Surface Chemistry, Solid State and Solutions, Hydrogen, s, p- block elements, D, F- Block elements, Co-ordination compounds, Basic Organic Chemistry and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic Acids and Amines, Polymers and Biomolecules, Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life.
AEEE 2018 Exam pattern
Exam pattern of AEEE 2018 will define the internal structure of the exam.The exam pattern will include the mode of exam, subjects that are covered, marking system and other aspects. The candidates can perform well in the examination after knowing everything about AEEE Exam pattern.
Section A: Physics, 30 questions.
Section B: Chemistry, 30 questions.
Section C: Mathematics, 40 questions.
- The examination will be held in two modes i.e.; Online and Offline mode.
- The questions will be objective type
- Total duration of the exam will be of 3 hours
- There is negative marking. for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted
- For every right answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidate.
- There will be total 130 questions for AEEE 2018. Out of it, 35 questions will be from chemistry, 35 from physics and 50 questions from mathematics.
AEEE 2018 Admit Card
The admit card of AEEE will be available on the official website for downloading before the exam. The candidates should get the admit card printed in order to appear for the examination. Admit card is one of the most important documents needed during the time of examination. The candidates should carry the admit card of AEEE Exam 2018 in the examination hall during the time of AEEE 2018 exam. Admit card consists of the candidate’s details such as name, date of birth, time and date of examination, stream into which the candidate is appearing etc. The admit card is not transferable and will be unique to each individual candidates
AEEE 2018 Result
The results of AEEE 2018 will be announced in the month of May 2018. The candidates can check the result from the official website. The result will be based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination. The result will include the rank, scores/marks of each section and the status of the application etc. On the basis of the candidate’s results, the counseling process for the AEEE will be done and the candidates will be admitted to the institutes as per their ranks on the merit list. Final admissions will be made on the basis of counseling results of AEEE 2018.
AEEE 2018 Cut off
Amrita University will declare the AEEE cutoff for undergraduate engineering programmes. Cut-offs are the closing rank or score of various courses in the three campuses of the University. Once the cut-off is out, the candidates can take admission in the respective college into which the candidates were admitted. AEEE 2018 cut-off will be determined on the basis of the total number of seats available in the engineering college, reservation of seats and the rank in the merit list of the candidates.
AEEE 2018 Counselling
Qualifying candidates will be admitted to the undergraduate colleges under Amrita University. Candidates should attend the counseling of AEEE 2018 in any of the three campuses. Candidates can opt for any branch in any one of the three campuses as per their preferences and availability of the seats at the time of counseling. The candidates should be physically present in the process of counseling otherwise seats will be filled as per the merit list. The candidates should report at the reporting centre on time.
