PSPCL RECRUITMENT 2017
Govt. of Punjab unbundled Punjab State Electricity Board into two companies, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (POWERCOM) and Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd. (TRANSCO).
PSPCL or Punjab State Power Corporation Limited is a power generating and distribution organization of Government of Punjab. It has played a key role in the implementation of Punjab Government plans for Electrification. It needs candidates with a brilliant academic record for the post of:
- LDC/Typist and Junior Engineer (JE)/Electrical
- Sub Station Attendant (SSA)
- Clerk/Typist
Online Exam will be held at various locations throughout Punjab.
PSPCL Notification 2018
PSPCL has announced official notification of Junior Engineer (JE)/Electrical, Sub Station Attendant (SSA), Clerk/Typist. The Online Registration for PSPCL is from 21 December to 11 January 2018. PSPCL has introduced 853 vacancies for Junior Engineer (JE)/Electrical, Sub Station Attendant (SSA), Clerk/Typist 2018 Exam.The candidates eligible and interested can register themselves online for the said post on the official PSPCL website.

Every year more than 50000 aspirants appear for the PSPCL examination. The Online Registration for PSPCL is from 21 December 2017 to 11 January 2018. PSPCL has introduced 853 vacancies for Junior Engineer/Electrical, Sub Station Attendant (SSA), and LDC/Typist 2018 Exam.

PSPCL Eligibility Criteria – 2018
Educational Qualification:
LDC Typist:
a)Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution
b)Possesses at least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands-on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office productivity application or Desktop Publishing application from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO 9001 certified
c)Possesses a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of Department. Of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) of Govt. of India
Junior Engineer/Electrical
a). Full Time Regular 3/4 years Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/IT Engg. from an institute recognized by State/ Central Govt. with minimum 60% marks
b). Full Time Regular BE/ B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/IT Engg. with a minimum of 50 % marks or equivalent degree recognized by AICTE.
c). AMIE in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/IT Engg. with at least 50% marks from Institution of Engineers(India) Calcutta
Sub Station Attendant(SSA)
a). Full-time regular course in ITI /Electrical with minimum 60% marks and 2 years apprenticeship experience in PSEB now PSPCL.
b). Full-time Regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks
c). Full-time Regular Diploma in Electronics and communication with 60% marks.
d). Full-time Regular Diploma in Instrumentation and process control with 60% marks
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:
- A certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam.
- The percentage of marks obtained should be mentioned at time of registration for the PSPCL examination.
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as PSPCL exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Qualification of Punjabi is essential for both posts: – For this purpose, all the candidates must have passed Punjabi of atleast Matriculation or its equivalent level upto the date of document checking.
Note: Relaxable for Sikh Migrants upto the extent that they will have to acquire such qualification within two years after joining the service failing which their services shall be liable to the terminated.
Age Eligibility:
Candidates applying for the PSPCL examination should be of 18 years old but not more than 37 years old at the time of registration.
Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category wise candidates as per the government rules: As per Punjab Govt. notification G.S.R.20/Const./Art.309/Amd.(10)/2010 dated 24.05.2010, the age limit as on 1/1/2018 for eligibility for these posts will be 18 to 37 years and relaxation in age will be as per Govt. of Punjab instructions
