About Social Work


Definition

Social Work is a noble profession of helping the society around us. Its main goal is to do something for the welfare of societies, communities and individuals, especially for the underprivileged. It also deals with the personal and collective well-being of the said underprivileged. Professionals who carry out the social work are termed as Social Workers. The field of social work spans across multiple career options. International organizations like WHO, UNESCO, UNICEF and other international organizations with similar goals, require social workers in their developmental campaigns and projects.
