XAT Application Form 2018 – XLRI has opened the XAT 2018 registrations from August 16, 2017. The XAT 2018 application form is available online, on the official XAT 2018 website, www.xatonline.in. The candidates interested in taking XAT 2018 must fill the online XAT application form 2018 before the due date, which is November 30, 2017. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, passed with 50% aggregate marks can apply for the XLRI XAT 2018 exam. The application fee to apply for this entrance test is Rs. 1650 for all categories of applicants. Also, they will have to pay Rs. 300 for each of the course that they will apply for. The XAT 2018 exam fee can be paid in both, online and offline mode. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2018) will be conducted on January 7, 2018, in online mode. The candidates must note that from this year, the exam mode has been changed from offline to online. Duration of XAT 2018 is 3.5 hours.

Main Highlights of XAT 2018 Application Procedure

• For the first time this year, XAT is going to be conducted online.
• This time there is an increase in fee. Earlier XAT application fee used to be Rs. 1600 which is now increased by Rs. 50.
• NRI students have to apply with their GMAT score.
• Candidates can only register through official website. There’s no way to register via Facebook or G+ this time.
• Candidates can access the respective links given here below to apply for XAT 2018 exam. There they have to make a new account including personal details such as name, email etc. A unique registration link along with XAT ID will be sent to the mail registered.
• Candidates have to click on the link for generating password.
• The next process is selecting test city, name, photo and signature uploading and saving it.
•  After this, candidates have to select their citizenship.
•  After this step, candidates have to select the program choice such as human resource management, business management, general management program etc. This step can be skipped if the programs are of no interest to the candidates.
• The next step is to put preliminary information. This includes name, DOB, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, and category and phone number.
•  After this, candidates have to put their mailing address and permanent address.
• Then the candidates are required to provide their academic details which will start from 10^th class.
•  If the candidates want to apply for GMP course, they need to provide five year’s work experience till 31^st March 2018.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

• Minimum academic qualification required for XAT 2018 application is a three years graduate degree with any academic background from any recognized university/college/institute.
• Final Year students of bachelor’s programs can also apply for XAT 2018, conditioned that they finish their bachelor’s degree by June 2018.
• Foreign candidates and NRIs can apply using their GMAT score.
• Candidates from Kathmandu and Dubai are required to appear for XAT 2018.

Mode of Fee Payment

You can apply for XAT Application form 2018 via both online and offline modes. Read the following details in order to understand the payment process of XAT application 2018.

Online Payment Mode:

• You can pay your fee with your debit card (Visa/Maestro/Master/RuPay).
• You can use credit card payment.
• You can use internet banking, mobile wallets, IMPS etc.
• Once you put all the required information in XAT application form, you must wait for intimation from server. At this situation, you shouldn’t reload the page or you shouldn’t press back button.
• Once you have successfully made the payment, you will receive an e – receipt of the transaction.
• In case, you don’t receive any e – receipt, this means the payment couldn’t be done successfully. In such situation, log in again and follow the same payment process.
• You have to take print out of XAT admission form and e – receipt.

Offline Payment Mode:

There are two options available for offline mode. You can either pay with the cash mode or you can use a demand draft for payment.

Cash Mode Payment:

• For cash payment, you need to download the challan form. And you need to go to IDBI Bank where you have to proceed with payment.
• You will get a copy of challan which is candidate’s copy and Bank will keep one copy which is bank’s copy of challan.

Demand Draft Payment:

• A demand draft in favour of ‘XLRI JAMSHEDPUR’ which is payable at Jamshedpur, can be made in any bank.
• Once you get DD made, you are required to login XAT registration page and you need to update all details of DD such as date, number and bank name.
  All the payment details are required to be updated after payment if you have made payment using 2 and 3 payment mode. The candidates who want to make payment via DD, they are required to send it with confirmation page at the address given below:

Candidates are required to send the Demand Draft and confirmation page within 15 days from the date the DD has been issued.

Prerequisites of XAT Application Form 2018

• A valid email id is required.
• A recent passport size scanned colour photo is required. The image should be 480 X 480 and 1024 X 1024 pixels.
• Scanned photo of signature with 200 dpi. The resolution of the photo has to be 320 X 320 and 600 X 600 pixel. Candidates are required to put signature on a white paper. The signature should be in black ink. Avoid doing it in capital letters.
• The total size of both the images should not increase more than 1 MB. These files have to be uploaded in JPEG format.
• Candidates are required to have the scanned files of photographs of their own and of the signature.
• Candidates are required to have a personal mobile number and a personal email address. These contact information will be used XAT admission process, hence these information should be kept active.
• The registered email address can be used to send admit card of examination. Mobile number can be used for SMS alert, for sending important messages/notifications.

Step by Step Guide for XAT 2018 Registration

Candidates need to apply online for XAT 2018 which will be available on the website also we will put putting a direct link to XAT admission process 2018. Following is a step by step description of how to fill XAT Application form 2018.

1. Registration:

The very first step is to visit the registration link. You will see an option which reads Click here for New Registration. Once you click here, you will be redirected to the registration page. The screenshot has been given here. You have to fill in the details as per the information asked in XAT registration form.

Keep in mind that before you proceed to the next step, you have to recheck all the information you have provided. Don’t put any wrong information, and while filing up the names.

• Unique XAT ID will be created once the registration is done successfully.
• A password will be created once the registration link is clicked.
• The password and ID are to be kept safe and secure.
• These details are required to log in for application process.

After filling up all the required details, click on the button ‘Save and Next.’ Once you reach the next page, your provisional XAT ID and password will be generated

2. Uploading Photos:

After finishing, the first page which includes basic information, the next will be Photo and Signature uploading. There will be two options, where the first one is for uploading photograph while the other one is for uploading signature. After uploading both the files, you need to click on the Next option.

Guidelines for uploading Images

You are required to upload two images, one your photo image and other is your signature image. Check here the dimensions of images to be uploaded in XAT application form 2018

Things to keep in mind while uploading Photograph images

Before you start uploading the images, make sure that you are having scanned files of the photographs. Adjust the dimension of the images as per the size and format mentioned in the table above.

• Make sure that your face in your face and signature are clearly visible in the images, if not so, there are chances of application rejection.
• You can re – uploaded and edit your application if you have uploaded such photographs.

Guidelines for Photograph image

• Always choose a colour passport size recent photograph.
• You have to look straight in the photograph in relaxed position.
• Avoid any cap, dark glasses, hats etc. You can have religious headwear but your face should be clearly visible.
• The scanned image shouldn’t exceed 50KB in size. If it is more than the limit, edit it for use.

Guidelines for Signature Image

• The signature should be in black ink on white paper.
• This signature will be used on all required places such as on admit card.
• Your signature on admit card and the one on your attendance sheet on the day of examination should be matching with each other. If they don’t, there are chances of disqualification.
• The size of snacked signature image shouldn’t exceed 20KB.

3. Details

The next page is to fill the details. Here you are required to fill all the necessay details carefully which have been asked in XAT applicaiton form. After uploading the files of your photographs and your signature, you need to click on Next button. The next page is details page. The details to be filled in the Details page are as follows:

• You need to fill the percentage of marks obtained in your graduation degree.
• You need to put aggregate mark percentage which you have obtained till application for filling time, in case if you a final year student.
• If you have pursued an integrated course of 5 years, you can put the same percentage in both graduation and post-graduation.
• You need to fill aggregate marks of all the subjects in 10^th class.
• Prticleship or internship isn’t counted as work experience. Moreover, if you have any work experience before your graduation degree, that too will not be counted.
• Candidates need to opt any program which XLRI is offering.
• XLRI offers Business Management (BM), General Management Program (GMP) and Human Resource Management (HRM).

4. Preview:

The next step is Preview. Here, you can have a preview of whatever you have filled and you can verify the detail and information. If you want to edit something, you can do at this step. After this, you need to click on Final Submit option. Before you click on Final Submit, make sure that you have rechecked everything and all information is collect.

How to apply for institutes other than XLRI Jamshedpur? 

There are more than 150 colleges in India which accept XAT exam score. If you are planning to apply any of these colleges, you need to keep in mind the things mentioned here.

• At first, you need to register for XAT 2018. You are required to follow the same process which has been described above.
• Once you successfully made XAT 2018 application, you are required to visit the official websites of the colleges where you want to apply.
• You can find all the required details from the official websites of the colleges you need to apply.

After successfully finishing the application process for XAT 2018, candidates can download XAT Admit card 2018, which is scheduled to be available from 20 December 2018. The admit card has all your information such as personal information, exam schedule, exam centre, important guidelines etc. You have to download it and take its print out as you won’t be sent any hardcopy.
