Fact Check- Unused Seats
As per the report by Hindustan Times, this year only 42% of engineering aspirants who cleared the state entrance exam MH-CET (Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell), registered for the next step of the admission process. As of now, there were more than 1.30 lakh engineering seats in the state but only 1.19 lakh candidates showed interest implying that 45% seats went unused.
