BITSAT 2018 – BITSAT Information brochure and application forms have been released online on 19 December 2017 and eligible candidates can apply online for the test till 13 March (05 PM). A facility to correct the filled information will also be provided. However, it is suggested to submit the application form without any error. The BITSAT Online Admission test will be conducted from 16- 31 May 2018. Once the candidates fill up and submit the application form successfully, BITSAT Pilani, the exam conducting body, will enable candidates to download BITSAT admit cards from 12 April 2018 to 10 May 2018.
BITSAT or Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is a university level examination that Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani conducts for admission to various courses that institute offers at three of its campuses viz. Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. As BITSAT is an online exam, candidates will be able to know about their BITSAT score after completing their test. However, BITS Pilani releases the scorecard separately which candidates can download in the third week of May 2018. BITSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria
There is fixed eligibility criteria that students should meet if they want to fill BITSAT 2018 application forms as only candidates who fulfil all the criteria will be considered eligible to take the BITSAT entrance exam. BITSAT eligibility criteria give extensive information on the qualifying marks, subject combination, qualifying exams, a total number of attempts, age etc. Here is all that BITSAT eligibility criteria entail:
- The candidate should have passed 12th exam from any recognized state or central board of education with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. The candidate should necessarily have scored 75 percent marks in aggregate in all the three subjects while at least 60 percent marks separately.
- Fluency in the English Language is but essential to appear for BITSAT 2018.
- Candidates who have appeared for the class 12th in the session of 2017-18 would also be considered eligible to apply.
- Students who have secured the first rank in any central or state education boards will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, without any consideration to their BITSAT exam score.
- No candidates are allowed to take the test second time in the same year.
BITSAT 2018 Application Form
The application forms for BITSAT 2018 exam have been released online. BITS Pilani has released BITSAT application forms on 19 December 2017. The application forms will be available until 13 March 2018. The application forms for BITSAT 2018 can be filled online. Therefore, candidates are requested to fill up their BITSAT application form with right details and submit it before the last date. Along with the application form, BITSAT aspirants also need to deposit an application fee, which different for male and female candidates. After submitting the form, candidates are also advised to use the facilities of editing and/or updating their application form to cross check the details they have provided to doubly ensure they have done it right.
BITSAT 2018 Application Fee
As already mentioned, BITSAT 2018 application fee varies from one category to another. Here is how much application fee candidates need to deposit to sit in the exam.

BITSAT 2018: Exam Syllabus
BITS Pilani designs and releases the syllabus for BITSAT exam every year to help students know and focus their studies on the areas of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology wherefrom questions will be asked. However, generally speaking, BITSAT 2018 question paper, like any other year, will be set basis the NCERT Syllabus of 11th and 12th classes. BITSAT 2018: Exam Pattern
As per the BITSAT 2018 exam pattern, all the questions in BITSAT 2018 exam are of objective type (multiple-choice questions) with four answer options. Candidates have to mark the right one and they will be allotted three marks for the same. For a wrong answer, however, one mark will be deducted from the candidates overall marks. Candidates can skip a question, meaning there is no negative marking for an unanswered question. However, the system will not allow students to choose more than one answer at a time.
There is no time bondage for any section and candidates are allowed to change the answer at any stage of the exam duration. Also, if a candidate answers all the 150 questions without skipping any, s/he will have an option to attempt 12 extra questions in BITSAT 2018 exam. Candidates need to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes, whereas the option to answer 12 more questions will be given to meritorious candidates to score higher.
BITSAT 2018 Slot Booking
BITSAT is expected to commence slot booking in the third week of March 2018, which is to continue until the first week of April 2018 tentatively. As per the BITSAT slot booking, candidates need to select the slot for themselves as per the time and date they want to appear for BITSAT 2018 online entrance exam. Hence, slot booking is one of the important parts of the exam failing which candidate won’t be able to write the exam. BITSAT slot booking requires a candidate to choose the time, date and exam centre to appear for the test. Also the fact worth mentioning here is that the slot booking is done on first come first serve basis. Therefore, sooner the better. Once the slot booking is done, a candidate will get access to download BITSAT 2018 admit cards.
BITSAT 2018 Admit Card
The admit cards for BITSAT 2018 will be available on the official website of BITS Pilani. The admit card of BITSAT will be available only for the candidate’s who have successfully registered and have booked their slots. The candidates who will be able to download the admit cards in the third week of April 2018 and will be up for download until the last week of May 2018. It is mandatory for candidates to produce the BITSAT 2018 admit card failing which they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall. The admit cards for BITSAT will contain the following information:

BITSAT 2018 Result
Like the past years, BITS Pilani will not release any answer key for BITSAT 2018 exam. The result will be released in an online form only and will be available on the official website of BITS Pilani. BITSAT result in 2018 is expected to be released by in the first week of July 2018. The result is available in two forms: One, after the completion of the test, the computer announces the result to the candidates which include the total number of correct answers and the wrong ones too. Candidates can also check and print his score report at the BITS admission website.

BITSAT 2018 cut-off is the minimum score that a candidate needs to get to be considered eligible for the admission into the course of their likings in any of the three BITS institutes.
