The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) conducts a computer-based entrance test for admission to the institute’s various UG and PG programmes in the field of design, retail and fashion. The test is conducted in both, English and Hindi languages. The time duration for the exam is two and a half hours and in that duration, students need to complete 150 multiple choice questions.

For postgraduate programmes:

For Mathematics and English, the FDDI entrance test covers most of the topics studied in class 11th and 12th.
There is no negative marking in the entrance test. Each question is worth 1 mark. The screen will show the remaining time on the screen. As soon as a student clicks on “Start Test,” the time will start and once the student has completed the test, he/she can submit the same by clicking on the “Submit” button. It is important to complete the test within the given time duration so that they don’t get “timed out”.
If the student needs any kind of assistance, he/ she may approach the Test Centre Administrator. The test will be invigilated and if any student is found indulging in any prohibited activities or actions, he/ she will be disqualified and asked to leave the test centre.
Students must note, that mobile phones, calculators, PDA, listening devices and recording or any kind of electronic gadgets etc, are not allowed inside the examination hall.
