About
Definition
The history of bartending dates to ancient times and can be found in Roman, Greek, and even Asian societies. Public drinking houses, as they were called in those times (now called Pubs), served as a place for people to socialize. A bartender (also known as a barkeep, barman, barmaid, bar chef, tapster etc.) is a person who formulates and serves alcoholic or soft drink beverages behind the bar, usually in a licensed establishment. Bartenders also usually maintain the supplies and inventory for the bar.Career Path
