Definition

“Fashion is about Suspense, Surprise & Fantasy. It’s not about Rules.” -Wolfgang Joop “I don't design clothes, I design dreams.” -Ralph Lauren Fashion design is the art of application of design. It is also aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. Fashion design is influenced by cultural and social attitudes, and has varied over time and place. Fashion designers work in a number of ways in designing clothing and accessories such as jeans and necklace. Because of the time required to bring a garment onto the market, designers must at times, anticipate changes to consumer tastes. Fashion designing has today evolved into a thriving, global, multi-billion-dollar industry. And its growth is catering demand for professionals who can think originally and innovatively about fashion and create sustainable and trendy designs.
