It's about affecting your community or your society in the most progressive way.” ~Anas Aremeyaw Anas Journalism, is the collection, verification, presentation, and editing of news for presentation through the media. Media here refers to the study of the product and production of news. The study of journalism involves looking at how news is produced, and how it is disseminated to the public through mass media outlets such as newspapers, news channel, radio station, television station, and more recently, e-readers and smartphones. Barkha Dutt
Barkha Dutt- She is an Indian television journalist. She was part of NDTV's team for 21 years until she left the channel in January 2017. Dutt emerged as a prominent figure after her frontline war reporting on the Kargil Conflict between India and Pakistan in 1999. Dutt has won many national and international awards, including the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour. Dutt was one of the journalists taped in the Radia tapes controversy. At NDTV, Dutt was the host of the weekly, award-winning talk-show We The People as well as the daily prime-time show The Buck Stops Here.
Nidhi Razdan
Nidhi Razdan- She is an Indian journalist and television personality. She is the primary anchor of NDTV 24x7 news show Left, Right & Centre. The program is normally broadcast live from a New Delhi studio every evening and covers debates and discussions on and beyond breaking news stories and headlines. Since the start of her career in 1999, Nidhi has covered a variety of news events and hosted a series of shows, often reporting live from the news scene. She has reported extensively on a wide range of key political, economic, and social stories from the Indian subcontinent. NDTV 24x7 is an English language television network that carries news and current affairs in India, owned by New Delhi Television Ltd. Nidhi Razdan has also authored a book titled Left, Right and Centre: The Idea of India published in July 2017 by Penguin Random House India.
Rajdeep Sardesai
Rajdeep Sardesai- He is an Indian news anchor and author. Sardesai is currently a consulting editor at the India Today group, and hosts India Today Television. He received the Padma Shri award, the International Broadcasters award and the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism award. Rajdeep Sardesai has worked with The Times of India for six years, after joining it in October 1988 and was the city editor of its Mumbai edition. He entered television journalism in 1994 as Political Editor of New Delhi Television (NDTV). He was the Managing Editor of both NDTV 24X7 and NDTV India and was responsible for overseeing the news policy for both the channels. He hosted popular shows like 'The Big Fight' at NDTV. He quit NDTV on 17 April 2005 to start his own company, Global Broadcast News (GBN), in collaboration with the American giant CNN and Raghav Bahl's TV18.
Arun Shourie
Arun Shourie- He is an Indian economist, journalist, author and politician. He has worked as an economist with the World Bank, a consultant to the Planning Commission of India, editor of the Indian Express and The Times of India and a Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the Vajpayee Ministry (1998–2004). He was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1982 and the Padma Bhushan in 1990, a consultant to the Planning Commission of India, editor of the Indian Express and The Times of India and a Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the Vajpayee Ministry (1998–2004). Shortly after receiving PhD in economics from Syracuse University Shourie joined World Bank as an economist in 1967 where he worked for more than 10 years. Simultaneously, between 1972–74, he was a consultant to the Indian Planning Commission and it was around this time that he began writing articles as a journalist, criticising economic policy.
