Sports management is the field of business dealing with sports and recreation. It involves working on the business side of the sports industry. Some examples of sports managers include the front office system in professional sports, college sports managers, recreational sports managers, sports marketing, event management, facility management, sports economics, sports finance, and sports information. The last decade has seen the Indian sports industry expanding its boundaries with the rising popularity of the various leagues such as Indian Premier League, Indian Super League, Hockey India League etc.Career Path

Pay Package
- Like in any other field the remuneration in this field depends on qualification, experience and area in which one works. One could get an initial pay of ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 per month.

JB Bernstein
JB Bernstein-JB Bernstein began his career working in brand management at the consumer products conglomerate Proctor & Gamble. He became involved in sports management after his stint as a Director of Development for the Memorabilia division of The Upper Deck Company. Bernstein was the Co-founder and President of the Access Group of Miami, representing such renowned players as baseball’s Barry Bonds and retired football greats, Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders. He is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of Seven Figures Management, a firm he co-founded with entrepreneur and investor Ash Vasudevan. Bernstein is perhaps best-known for the resounding success of his reality show “The Million Dollar Arm.” Bernstein set up an Indian reality TV contest called The Million Dollar Arm which was aired on Zee Sports (Now, TEN Action).
