GATE 2018 Exam Pattern for Computer Science

Those who are planning to appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2017 exam, to be conducted by IIT Roorkee from February 4-5, 2017 and February 11-12, 2017, must go through the GATE exam pattern 2017 completely to prepare well for the upcoming entrance test.

The IITs and IISc conduct GATE ever year for students seeking admission in Engineering PG programmes at GATE accepting colleges across the country in various engineering streams.

The GATE results 2017 will be declared on March 27, 2017.

GATE Computer Science Exam Pattern 2017:

GATE exam pattern will be divided into two parts i.e. Part I – General Aptitude (GA) which is common for all the GATE papers and Part II that is based on the specialisation.

GATE exam duration is 3 hours. The question paper will be containing both multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.

All the 23 GATE papers consist of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. A candidate is allowed to write only one GATE paper. Therefore, he/she must choose the subject code very carefully at the time of filling the application form. It is not possible to change the choice of paper after the submission of the application form.
