Istituto Marangoni Paris, the popular fashion school in Paris, had organised their graduation ceremony for the class of 2016 on July 13, 2016, at the Hotel du Collectionneur, Paris. The graduation ceremony, held in association with Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, saw fashion students of the institute earning degrees for completing their respective courses. The degrees were handed over to students who were enrolled for the Bachelors’ course, Masters course as well as a one-year comprehensive course at the institute.
As the guest of honour, renowned fashion designer from Paris, Julien Fournie was invited to grace the ceremony and share his thoughts with the graduate students. Julien, who is an established name in the fashion industry, enlightened the students about the nitty-gritty of the industry and provided the students with some useful insights.
He also encouraged students to blend technology in their creations as he believed that technology has a long way to go in the near future of Fashion.
The fashion school also felicitated the best students under each programme and rewarded them for their admirable performance. Speaking on this happy occasion, head of Instituto Marangoni said, “This ceremony rewarded students who have demonstrated their determination, commitment and will-power.”
The institute’s state-of-art teaching and its faculty members induced a mix of theory and practicals, which is considered to have played a big role in student’s academic success.
The felicitation ceremony was followed by cocktail drinks to celebrate the graduation of students and awarding of degrees to them.
Marking the end of their student journey in Istituto Marangoni, the graduation ceremony will now enable students to take their knowledge and skill-sets in the real competitive world of Fashion geniuses and make a name for themselves.
Students of Istituto Marangoni had previously also organized their year-end fashion show in May 2016 at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Students of the batch of 2015-16 presented their collection at the couture, which was organized in the school building.
Interestingly, the grad ceremony guest of honour, Julien Fournie, has also been a part of Haute Couture and his last collection was inspired by the use of 3D design and had been named as ‘Premiere Lumiere or First Light’.
