JEE Main Application Form 2018 – The online application form of JEE Main 2018 has been released on 01 December 2017. Eligible candidates will have a period of almost one month to apply for the examination. The last date to apply for JEE Main 2018 is 02 January 2018. Candidates can access the online JEE Main 2018 Application Form from the official website of JEE Main, jeemain.nic.in. A direct link to the application form is also available below. CBSE is the conducting body of IIT JEE Main 2018 entrance examination to those aspirants who are interested in pursuing B.Tech/B.Arch. programmes offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions located across the country.  It is one of the most popular and highly competitive exams in the country where lakhs of candidates appear for the exams. However, candidates who wish to seek admission to IITs, all the JEE Main qualified candidates should give the examination of JEE Advanced. The applicants should apply online as there is no printed application for JEE Main 2018.  The candidates should meet the eligibility criteria if they interested in applying for JEE Main. The candidates who have submitted the online application after paying the application fee before the last date will be able to give the JEE Main 2018.

The JEE (Main) secretariat/CBSE will verify the eligibility of the candidates through the application form of JEE Main 2018. Those candidates who are applying under reserved category should verify their eligibility and category from the concerned institution. For accuracy of information, candidates are advised to use their Aadhar ID for the online application form of JEE Main 2018.

Instructions for filling JEE Main Application Form 2018

  • The candidates should have a scanned copy of photograph and signature.
  • The scanned images should be uploaded to the appropriate field during the time of filling JEE Main Application 2018.
  • The photo should be colour or B/W (but clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it.
  • Polaroid photos and unclear photographs of the candidates will be considered invalid or reject.
  • The aspirants should keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of JEE Main 2018 entrance examination, seat allocation process and admission process.name of the candidate should be same as in the XII/qualifying examination. No documents of confirmation are needed to send to the JEE Main office.
  • Applicants should have a valid email ID and mobile number before applying online as the correspondence will be made through either email or SMS.

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form?

Step 1 Online Registration

The candidates should register online on the official website of JEE Main 2018. The first and foremost step is to enrol the candidates by submitting the details.

Steps to register

  • Click on “Apply for JEE Main 2018”
  • Read the instructions properly and tick the checkbox
  • Click on “Proceed to apply online” button
  • Click on Submit button.

While doing the registration process of JEE Main 2018, fill the following details.

  • State of eligibility
  • State’s name
  • Board name
  • Year of passing
  • Roll number (if allotted) and security pin

Note: the candidates should generate a password of 8-13 character in order to complete the process of registration. The password should contain a capital letter, a small case letter, a special character and a number.

Step 2 Filling up Personal and Academic Details

The candidates should fill up the registration form by filling the following required information in the application form of JEE Main 2018.

  • Exam Related: The candidates should select/choose exam, mode of examination, medium of the question paper and test centres
  • Personal Details: Fill in personal details like applicant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, nationality, category etc.
  • Academic Details: The candidates must mention the details in the online JEE Main application form 2018. They should enter the year of passing 10th, year of passing 12th, name of the board (10th and 12th), institution type, roll number, place of class 12th passed/appeared etc.
  • Correspondence Details: Enter your E-mail address details along with the city, state, pin code, contact number, E-mail ID, etc.
  • Guardian Details: In this step of filling the application form of JEE Main 2018, the aspirants have to enter details of their guardians like their annual income, occupation and educational qualification. Now candidates should choose a password and a security pin/code. Further, the security pin/code has to be entered and then click on “Next” button.

The candidates can review the furnished information in the JEE Main 2018 Application Form and can verify from the site itself. Once the verification from the candidate’s side is done, the form can be submitted by clicking on ‘Final Submit’ button.

Step 3 Upload Scanned Images

  • Click on “Upload Scanned Images” in the half-filled application form of JEE Main 2018.
  • Click on “Choose File” to select and upload scanned images of your photograph and signature
  • Click on Preview button and upload your scanned images.

Step 4 Payment of Application Fee

Once the candidates uploaded the scanned images, they should pay the application fee for JEE Main 2018. Candidates can make the payment of the application fee through credit card/debit card/e-wallet (SBI Buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan. In case of e-challan, the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank in cash.

Candidates must choose any of the four options to pay JEE Main 2018 application form fee. They must verify all details carefully before opting for payment as no changes can be made after the payment is done.

Note: Fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. Applicants should mention the card details if the payment is being done through net banking and card. if the payment is being made through E-Challan, the candidates should take the copy of the challan and print out of the form for payment and can be done in any nearby branches of the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank.

How to calculate JEE Main Application Fee?

  • Click on “Calculate Exam Fee”
  • After clicking, Exam Fee Calculator window will open on your computer screen where you have to select the following:
  • Applying For (JEE Main Paper 1/JEE Main Paper II/JEE Main Paper 1 & II both)
  • Mode of Examination (Pen & Paper based examination/Computer based examination)
  • Location of Exam Centre (In India or Outside India)
  • Category (General/SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
  • Person with Disability (PWD) (Yes or NO)
  • Gender (Male/Female)
  • Case Sensitive Security Pin (As reflected on the window itself)
  • After filling all the required details, click on either “Reset” or “Submit Button”

By clicking on Submit, the calculator will reflect the JEE Main application fee 2018 as per your category, which you have to pay for appearing in the entrance exam.

Instructions for JEE Main 2018 password

While filling JEE Main application form 2018, the applicants are supposed to choose a password, a security question, and its answer. All applicants should keep the password safe for all future use/references as it is essential for candidate’s login.

While setting the password, the candidates should keep in mind these points:

  • The password should have at least 8 to 13 characters
  • It should include at least one upper case and at least one lower case alphabet
  • The password should have at least one numeric value
  • It should also have at least one special characters like !@#$%^&*-

Candidates will be able to log in using their respective system generated Application Number and the chosen password; the candidates will be able to directly login in their subsequent logins. They shouldn’t share their password with anybody to prevent its misuse. Applicants are advised not to forget to log out at the end of their session, to prevent any kind of tampering of the candidates’ details/particulars or modified by unauthorized people.

Resetting JEE Main 2018 Password

If the aspirants want to change or reset JEE Main 2018 password, they can do it with the following options.

  • Security question and answer chose by you during JEE Main application form 2018 filling
  • Verification code sent on your registered mobile number
  • Using a reset link sent to you on your registered email ID
