Make Changes in GATE 2017 Application Form before Nov 26, 2016 (6PM)

The option for changes in the category, gender and examination city for GATE 2017 applicants only is open until November 22, 2016 (6 PM) with online payment. The examination authority, however, will levy extra charge for each change. The applicant login and related changes to be edited and payment option shall be done through this link, http://appsgate.iitr.ac.in/.

Non-PwD candidates with dyslexia/writer’s cramp requiring one-hour extra GATE 2017 examination time may send their request by email to gateiitr.2017@gmail.com. The mail must have details like name of candidate, enrolment ID and a latest certificate from a government hospital doctor mentioning the disorder of the candidate. The mail subject will be Dyslexia/Writer’s Cramp.

Change of category from General/OBC/ to SC/ST must send a mail on the above-mentioned email ID mentioning name, enrolment ID, category change with proper documents in attachment. There shall be no refund of fees for this change. The subject of the mail should be Gen/OBC to SC/ST.

GATE 2017: Fees for Changes Requested

All the applicants will need to pay an extra amount for each change. Following is the fees that need to be paid with the changes-

  1. Changes from SC/ST to General/OBC is INR 750
  2. Female to Male/Others (gender change) is INR 750
  3. PwD to Non-PwD is INR 750
  4. Examination City change is INR 400

Candidates may note that this fee has to be paid online only. There shall be no refund of fees for any change.  Change in GATE paper is not permitted.
