By the debit cards of the Indian nationalized banks, most of which are public sector banks, paying the GRE fee certainly isn’t possible. Though, going by our online study it seems that going to a private bank for fee-payment may be fruitful. But, that simply requires to create an account with them. However, there are other options for paying fee in India for GRE, as described below.
Options for Paying Fee in India for GRE
Cash mode of fee-payment is a strict no! Therefore, we produce payable options for you, that ETS has set. ETS or the Exam Testing Service is the agency that accounts for conducting GRE. Hence, we mention the rules below:
- Payment through Credit or Debit Cards of any one of from Discover®, MasterCard®, American Express®, JCB® or Visa®.
Note: GRE aspirants can pay through any credit/debit card, marked with anyone logo of the above 5 agreed credit cards.
- Payment through Money Order/Certified Check/Voucher
- Payment through PayPal
An option of paying through a service of E-Check also lies. The only condition is that the aspirant must draw it against an account in the U.S. That translates to struggle for Indian citizens if they couldn’t manage to make the payment through the E-Check via creating a bank account in the U.S. or making any of their relatives, do it.
The lesson gained from the process of fee-payment for the Graduate Record Examination is that, you can’t pay the fee in Rupees, you need to pay only in U.S. Dollars. And that too, in the non-cash mode!
