Getting married at age 19 isn’t easy and that means months away from school and curriculums that require full attention and a bucket full of new responsibilities. Catching up with her classes while being a housewife seemed impossible to achieve until she started learning on EduGorilla’s online learning platform.
“From an early age of 19 getting married and getting a whole new set of responsibilities was not easy. My future was uncertain and I thought I would eventually give up on my studies and be a housewife full time with no future in mind. EduGorilla helped me see that anything is possible. I’ve gained maturity and a life worth living.”
With no access to learning or a way to start preparing for the IIT JEE entrance exam, dropping out seemed the only choice. Then a friend told me about EduGorilla and the idea of investing time online seemed the only choice which did not take my whole lot of time.
Pooja’s supervising interviewer worked with her to develop an academic plan to make up for the missed credits, to get back on track for graduation. Because of the time she had already missed, the schedule was tight and full of ambition, but her interviewer used a key insight to keep Pooja focused.
“I always knew how crucial it is to be educated and independent and at that very moment I realized that I have to build my career when there is still hope left.”
With a lot of hard work and a little inspiration, Pooja clears the entrance exam in the same year and joins IIT Madras, where she is on the journey to becoming a Computer Science Engineer. Looking back on it all, Pooja explains that she wouldn’t want it any other way. “The fact that EduGorilla gave me a sense that my life is worth living after all was very important to me and helped me realize that anything is possible. They changed my life for the better tomorrow.”
