First and foremost, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducted TISSNET on 13th January 2018. The Institute held the exam for aspirants seeking admission in the prestigious postgraduate courses offered by the various TISS institutes. Moreover, nearly 40,000 candidates appear for TISSNET every year. Also, about 17000 candidates, out of these, apply for MBA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations. Now that the TISSNET exam is over, the aspirants await the TISSNET results and cut off to know their fate.

Steps to Check TISSNET Results
The candidates can follow the steps given below to check their TISSNET results:
- Firstly, visit the official website of TISSNET- www.tiss.edu
- Secondly, click on Results under ‘Admissions’
- Thirdly, log in with the registered Email ID and Password
- Then, check the TISSNET Scorecard
- Then, download and print the TISSNET Scorecard for further use during the admission process
- The Scorecard will contain:
- Firstly, the name of the candidate
- Secondly, the roll number of the candidate
- Thirdly, the registration number of the candidate
- Then, the photograph of the candidate
- Then, the candidate’s category
- Campus Location
- Domicile
- Score/Marks obtained
- Course Preference
- Status- Qualified/Not qualified
- Waitlist Status
- Lastly, the stamp of the exam conducting authority
TISSNET Selection Process Post Results Declaration
Following the declaration of results, the TISS calls all the TISSNET qualified candidates to appear in further rounds. The TISS holds these rounds in its campuses. Further rounds await the candidates who have qualified TISSNET, namely, Pre-Interview Test/GD and Personal Interview. These rounds carry the following weightage:

Firstly, the Written Test | 40 percent (100 marks) |
Secondly, the Pre-Interview Test/GD | 30 percent (50 marks) |
Thirdly, the Personal Interview | 30 percent (75 marks) |
Finally, the Total | 100 percent (225 marks) |
Lastly, the combined score of these rounds is used to shortlist candidates for the final admission.
In case of a tie in TISSNET Results, the following process is followed:
- Firstly, the candidates with higher marks in the Personal Interview Round will be considered
- If PI marks are same, their Pre- Interview Test (PIT) marks will be considered and the candidates getting higher marks in the PIT will be considered
- IF PIT marks are also same, then, the TISSNET marks will be considered and the candidates getting higher marks in TISSNET entrance exam will be considered
- Lastly, if TISSNET marks are also same, the candidate(s) with the higher age(s) will be given preference
TISSNET Waiting List
After the TISSNET admission process is complete, aspirants give a list of their programme preference. Subsequently, a waiting list is prepared for the candidates left for securing their admissions as per their first preference.
- Firstly, the candidates who got admission into a programme that was their second preference will be put into the waiting list of the programme of first preference only
- Secondly, the candidates who got admission into a programme that was their third preference will be put into the waiting list of the programme of first and second preference both
- If a candidate gets admission in two programmes at the same time, the higher preference will prevail
- Finally, the list of wait-listed candidates and selected candidates will be displayed on the TISS website
TISSNET Merit List
The weightage given to each round of the admission process is used to prepare the merit list. Then, the merit list is prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences given by the candidate at the time of filling the TISSNET Application Form.
TISSNET Cutoff 2019
- Firstly, the cutoff for the exam is declared along with the results only
- Secondly, these cutoff marks refer to the minimum qualifying marks a candidate must score to be eligible for subsequent selection rounds of the admission process
- Thirdly, according to the conducting body of TISSNET, the minimum qualifying marks for written test is 35% for SC/ ST and 45% for others
- Finally, TISSNET Cutoff is determined by various factors, such as previous year cutoff, the difficulty level of exam, number of test takers and so on
Though the TISSNET results are not yet out, the TISSNET cutoff for 2019 in the programme M.A. in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations, is expected to be as follows:
General Category- 82
OBC Category- 73
SC/ ST Category- 70

The cutoff marks for TISSNET in 2018 were:

TISSNET Reservation
The number of seats is allocated to different categories of aspirants, as shown in the table below:
