Comparison across Medical Entrance Examinations

While none of the exams like AIIMS, NEET, and JIPMER can be rated easy, there are differences across these exams in terms of approach and attempts. Overall, it has been seen that NEET is a balanced exam in terms of difficulty level and accuracy while AIIMS is a lengthy one. Finally, JIPMER is a medical entrance exam, where accuracy is important in comparison to other examinations.

How Different is the Syllabus?

AIIMS Syllabus is very similar to NEET Examination for PCB, in particular. Furthermore, it has two additional sections- GK (General Knowledge) and Aptitude. Assertion and Reasoning Questions would be asked in AIIMS Entrance. The syllabus for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in JIPMER would be the same as AIIMS and NEET. English and Reasoning are additional sections in the JIPMER Examination.

Preparation Techniques for NEET, AIIMS, and JIPMER

The candidates should know their main subjects well such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

NEET and AIIMS Examination require a candidate to have a thorough knowledge of NCERT Syllabus. Candidates would be required to follow reference books as well as NCERT Material closely to gain proficiency in the core subjects.  The preparations strategy for all 3 Medical Examinations would be the same. Solving previous year question papers would be helpful in either of the exams.

Since AIIMS is an online examination, not many previous year question papers would be available for the candidate. The candidate can, however, practice online mock tests by joining online coaching and test series. The level of questions in these mock tests is of the same level of that of AIIMS.

JIPMER Examination is mostly about Time Management. Any candidate good at managing his time and being accurate can easily crack the examination as it is of an easier level when compared to AIIMS and NEET.
