National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi is a premiere fashion institute in India. It was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and has emerged as the premier institute of design, management and technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.
The computer-based exam will take place on the 6th and 7th April 2013 for the following:
- B.FTech
- M.F.M
- M.FTech
Candidates can opt for either CBT (Computer-based test) or PBT (Paper-based test), but this choice should’ve been clearly stated at the time of filling out the application form. The examination centres will be displayed on a later date on the official website. Registering for the centre can be done in the month of February. The programme wise schedule of CBT indicating date and time will be available at NIFT official website.
CBT assumes that the candidate has the basic familiarity with the use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing in the test and NIFT cannot take responsibility for the same.
Candidates for B.Des and M.Des will not have the CBT.
The objective type tests are subject to negative marking at the rate of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Each right answer will be awarded 1 mark.
Mobiles and other InfoTech gadgets are not allowed inside Examination Centre campuses. The candidate found with mobile or other InfoTech gadgets will be asked to leave the examination and will be disqualified.
The entrance exam will be held on the first week of January 2019.
