GATE 2018 Exam Pattern for Mechanical Engineering

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) conduct Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) every year for students seeking admission in Engineering PG programmes at GATE accepting colleges across the country.

In the year 2017, IIT Roorkee will be conducting GATE exam from February 4-5, 2017 and February 11-12, 2017. The GATE results 2017 will be declared on March 27, 2017.

GATE Mechanical Exam Pattern 2017

GATE question paper 2017 will be divided into two parts i.e. Part I – General Aptitude (GA) which is common for all the GATE papers and Part II that is based on the specialisation.

Applicants will be provided with 3 hours in total to complete the GATE 2017 exam having both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type questions.
