How to Check JEE Main Results If You Lose Your Admit Card?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JEE Main results for the first attempt on January 31, 2019. Moreover, it will announce the results for the second attempt i.e. the April exam on April 30, 2019. NTA will announce them on the official website of the exam – jeemain.nic.in. To check exam results, candidates will need their login details like JEE Main 2019 roll number and date of birth. NTA has mentioned these details on every candidate’s JEE Main admit card. The candidates should take every precaution to preserve and save this admit card. The candidates need to follow this precaution till the admission process is over to avoid hassles.

Why Saving the Admit Card is Important?

In the last few years, the authorities have observed that aspirants tend to lose or mutilate their admit cards. This is particularly more so, once the exam concludes. Remember that the admit card of JEE Main is an extremely important document. Besides using it on the exam day, candidates require it during the counseling process as well.

Prior to and after NTA declares the exam results, “I have lost my JEE Main admit card. How can I check my results?” becomes a common query amongst JEE candidates. This is because the exam admit card has all the details that you need to login to your account. Without login credentials, it would become difficult for candidates to access their account and check their JEE Main results.

What to Do in Case You’ve Lost Your Admit Card?

Technically, candidates, after registering for the exam should note down their application number on their computers or offline, in a notebook. They should note down other related details, similarly. However, it may be possible that you haven’t done either, and have lost your JEE Main admit card. Consequently, you would be unable to check your results. Hence, here’s what you should do:

  • You would’ve downloaded your JEE Main admit card from the official website of the exam by now. Hence, it’s natural to presume that the candidates would have saved a soft copy of the same. The candidates would have saved this copy on any of their digital storage devices. These devices could be anyone from desktop/hard disk/pen drive/cloud storage etc. You can refer to that soft copy of your admit card.
  • If you haven’t done as the above, then you can download your admit card again from the official website. This can be done only if the window for downloading JEE Main admit card is still available. You can enter the application number and password to download your admit card again.
  • While registering for the exam, you would have received a mail. This you would have received on your registered email id with the application number and related details. These details can help you login to your account. These can also help you in retrieving your lost admit card and enabling you to check your JEE Main results.
  • If your mail gets deleted, send an email to the concerned authorities at jeemain-nta@nic.in. Moreover, you can get help through the JEE Main helpline numbers – 7042399520, 7042399521, 7042399525, 7042399526

Important note: Students will not receive JEE Main admit card by post. They can download the admit card only from JEE Main’s official website.
