Quick Tips for Good Brochures

Brochures are the perfect option if you want to tell a little more about your business. In a brochure there is always enough space regardless of what you want to do; offer extended information about your services, use it as a menu or simply create a stronger relationship with your customers. Moreover, they are easier to do than you might think. Just follow these simple steps to create a brochure that you can feel proud of.

Before You Get Started

In order to create a unique brochure about your business, you need access to content. So before you get started, create a folder where you can access the following:

Log

If you have a log, you should use a version with the highest possible resolution so that it looks good in print.

Photos

Select some really good photos for your products and services, and maybe something about yourself or the staff. Make sure these photos are of high quality.

Bread Text

Your message is important, so put some extra time writing together what you want to say in advance – you can adjust the text later. The text should include some basic points:

Info/About us

In a brochure you get the chance to tell a little more about who you are and what you stand for – it can be reliability, personal service, quality products or something else. Try to focus on one or two main messages.

Info About Products/Services

Get all the important information about what your business has to offer. It can be practical to divide into categories so that it becomes easier to get an overview and take the information to yourself.

Contact Information

Tell customers how they come in contact with you and your working hours.

Create Your Brochures

When you have produced a draft of the text, log, and pictures, it is time to start creating the brochure.

Select The Format

Review your content and think about what the purpose of the brochure is. It will then be easier to determine what works best by a single-fold, C-folding or Z-folding brochure. If you create a menu or want to present very detailed information, a brochure with C-folding could be a good choice. However, if you want large, prominent images, you get more space with a single-fold brochure. Take a piece of paper, fold it in one of the formats and make a quick draft of what you can have on each panel. It helps you visualize the layout and choose the best format.

Choose A Template

There are many professional design templates available. You can filter by industry, choose colors or upload the log to find a matching color palette. To get a stylish look, you should stick to one or two main colors.

Add Content

When you have your template, you can start filling it with content and edit as you go. Use headers to divide the text and preferably stick to one or two fonts, making it easy to read. Take some time to move around the objects and test different options.

Choose the Type of Paper and Finish

When you are satisfied with the layout and appearance, choose the type of paper that is best suited for the style of the brochure – do not forget to take into account how the brochure should be used. Menus should be a bit stiffer if you want to use them several times and glossy surface works well for vivid colors and large photos.

Hopefully, the tips above can help you to create interesting brochures. But if you don’t have time for all of that, asking for help from a brochures printing service is a recommended option.
