Rau’s IAS Study Circle – Interview Guidance

The Interview is the last hurdle of the one, but the most crucial one. It is conducted to assess the suitability of a candidate’s personality for a career in civil services. IAS interviews not only judge a candidate’s mental caliber but also his intellectual qualities, social traits, and interests.

However, sitting in front of a panel of unbiased and competent observers who hold a record of your entire career is quite frightening. And it is this fear that you learn to tackle in the Interview Guidance sessions conducted by Rau’s IAS.

These sessions target the personality of the IAS aspirants as well as their knowledge aspect. Rau’s Interview panel comprises subject experts and its ex-successful candidates who are now serving as bureaucrats.

The experts focus on areas like candidates’ attitude, aptitude, and approach along with their knowledge of national and international affairs. The program works to refine the aspirants’ way of communication, presentation, body language, emotional stability, answering mechanism, etc.

Rau’s IAS Interview Program follows the following structure:

A precursor to Mock Interview comprising DAF analysis and discussion on current issues
Mock interview simulated on the lines of the actual IAS interviews
Post-Mock Interview including expert feedback and a personal sitting

Every interview is recorded and provided to the candidates for introspection and improvements. The aspirants also receive unbiased feedback and valuable suggestions for improving their performance. They get the option to sit with any member of the interview panel and have one on one discussions.

Note – The program fee is INR 500. However, it is free for all those who are enrolled in one or the other study programs (including the postal courses) of Rau’s IAS.
