SSC (Staff Selection Commission) conducts online examination for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in various government organizations. The Recruitment Examination for SSC JE will be an All India Open Competitive Examination. SSC JE General Awareness Section: Important Topics

This General Awareness Section of the SSC JE is different from those of Banking and Insurance Examinations. In prominent Banking and Insurance Exams, General Awareness Section focuses more on Current Affairs whereas, in SSC JE, more questions are asked on the Static General Knowledge.

In the upcoming exam, there will be about 50 questions, 1 mark each. And the different topics will come from the following subjects:

  • Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
  • Miscellaneous

There are almost 5-6 questions from each subject mentioned above, excluding the miscellaneous section. General Science is expected to have around 10-15 questions, with Biology being central.

SSC JE General Awareness: History

It has been seen that questions from World History are rarely asked, so there is no need to give all the time to World History. Instead, it is better to concentrate on Indian History only.
