About the Founder
The Institute was founded in 1976 by Professor P. Velayutham who had to his credit numerous academic distinctions from India and abroad, including a diploma on International Law, awarded by the International Court of Justice, The Hague.

- Classroom courses
For the first part of the UPSC, prelims examination the students here are taught the general studies paper extensively. This batch commences from June every year
The second session for Civil Services Exam 2018, is to commence in early August 2017 for General Studies (Prelim cum Main) and for Optional Subjects & Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in the month of October/ November. The admission procedure would start around July for the August session.

- Postal/correspondence courses
It covers the majority of diverse areas of the UPSC Civil Service Syllabus. The books will be delivered periodically, as and when they are updated and printed. The number of printed pages will run into approximately 5,000 pages of the material which is sent in 6 installments. Fee for General Studies (PCM) Rs. 9000/-.
The current affair magazine can be purchased additionally for Rs 1500/-.
Here the students are completely left on to the modules given to them and the books suggested by the faculty which is often just the requisite ones.
