Definition
Radiation therapy or radiotherapy, often abbreviated RT, RTx, or XRT, is a therapy using ionizing radiation, generally as part of cancer treatment to control or kill malignant cells and normally delivered by a linear accelerator. Radiation therapy may be curative in many types of cancer if they are localized to one area of the body. It may also be used as part of adjuvant therapy, to prevent tumor recurrence after surgery to remove a primary malignant tumor.Career Path

Pay Package

He has got special interest in Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT). He has been practicing IGRT, SBRT, and SRT for last many years and has successfully treated and benefited many patients with this advanced form of radiation techniques. He is the member of the team who developed the first IMRT program in northern India. He has integrated the advanced imaging technique in radiotherapy treatment and implemented it in clinical practice and received an award for Best Radiation Oncologist of the year 2017.
