JEE Main 2018- Latest Updates, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Application Form

JEE Main 2018– CBSE has released the information brochure of JEE Main 2018. The examination in pen and paper mode will be held on 08 April 2018 and the online examination will be held on 15 & 16 April 2018. The JEE Main registration has been commenced online from 01 December 2017. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam till 01 January 2018. Candidates can check the complete details of the JEE Main 2018 Examination in the information brochure however, CBSE will launch the JEE Main 2018 portal in short while.  JEE Main Paper 1 will be conducted in both online and offline modes while the paper-2 will be conducted in only Pen and Paper mode. The duration of examination will be 03 hours for both modes. The pattern and syllabus will remain the same for both online and offline mode.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) holds Joint Entrance Examination, every year, in the month of April. The examination conducts for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs offered by NITs, IIITs, Other CFTIs, and other Institutions. JEE Main aspirants should have qualified the class 12th examination before the counselling process. It is an all-India level entrance test which is also referred as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, entrance test to get admission in IITs. To completely submit the application form, aspirants should need an Aadhaar. The use of Aadhaar will result in an accuracy of the candidates’ details. While filling the form, it is suggested to re-check all the detail so that there will be no discrepancy afterwards. Mismatching of details can lead to cancellation of the candidature and board can cancel your application without any prior notice. To offer admission, the official will verify all the details with the original documents at the time of counselling. JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the examination, candidates should satisfy all the eligibility conditions that are mentioned below. Candidates who fail to satisfy any of the mentioned norms will be unable to submit their application form.

  • Age Limit – Candidates should be born on or after 1993
  • Educational Qualification- Candidates should have qualified the class 12th examination in 2016 or 2017. Candidates who are appearing in 2018 are also eligible to take the examination. However, candidates who reappeared in 2016 are not eligible for the examination.
  • Number of Attempts– Candidates are allowed for 03 attempts only.

JEE Main 2018 Application Form

The online registration for JEE Main 2018 has been started from 01 December 2017. Candidates can either visit the official website of JEE Main or click the above given link (to be updated after official release of JEE Main Application Form) to apply online. Candidates will have almost 30 days to submit the online form.

JEE Main Admit Card 2018

The admit card of JEE Main 2018 will be released in the second week of March 2018. Candidates will need their application form number and date of birth to download the admit card. The admit card is the mandatory document that every applicant should bring along with them while appearing in the JEE Main Examination 2018, else they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. JEE Main Admit card will also contain the examination date, time and the venue details. If any candidate finds the error in any of the printed details then he/she should contact the officials to get it resolved.

JEE Main Result 2018

Candidates who will give the JEE Main 2018 Examination on the scheduled dates will be able to check their marks on the 30 April 2018. Candidates can also check their AIR and download the scorecard on the same day. The top 2,20,000 qualified for JEE Main 2018 will be able to appear in JEE Advanced 2018. JEE Main scores will be valid to get admission in NITs, IIITs, GFITs and other private engineering colleges.

JEE Main 2018 Answer Keys

Both official and unofficial answer keys will be made available for the candidates. The official answer keys and scanned image of OMR sheets will be uploaded on the official website on 24 April 2018 and candidates can challenge them, if any discrepancy is found, till 27 April 2018. Many renowned institutes will release the unofficial answer keys immediately after the examination. However, the official answer keys will be issued a few days before the declaration of the result.
