Know All About SNAP Including Eligibility & Selection Process

To begin with, every year the Symbiosis International, a deemed university, conducts a mandatory examination. The aspirers wishing to be a part of their prestigious institutes and situating in different states of India, take this examination. Moreover, candidates from all over the world, aspiring to join the Symbiosis for M. Sc (CA)/MBA/M. Sc (SS) programs will have to appear for the examination abbreviated as SNAP or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test.

SNAP Test: To begin with, the SNAP test or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is a national-level management entrance test. The SIU or Symbiosis International University conducts the test annually, in online format or mode. Moreover, the authorities conduct the SNAP test in 92 cities across the country. Also, any aspirant with a graduate degree (a graduate) can legally apply for the SNAP Test. SIU holds the test for admissions in the affiliated institutes of the university for the programs offered.

This year too, the SIU is conducting the SNAP test. For this reason, the university has released all the important information that an aspirant needs. Hence, everything that you need to know about the SNAP Test is discussed below.

The Highlight of the Process:

To begin with the process, the first thing the aspirants need to do is go to the official test websites. Then, they need to click on the SNAP application form to register themselves for the SNAP test. Consequently, upon filling all the details asked in the SNAP application form, candidates will have to make their payment. This payment will depend on the number of institutes they are applying for under SIU. Once the SIU’s computer system accepts the payment, it will provide you with important dates.

Next, the step is to download the SNAP admit card which will be released as per the stated date. On the SNAP admit card candidates will get all the information including their exam centers. After the examination, the authorities will provide the candidates a date which will have the result-declaration date of SNAP. Later to the release of the SNAP result, candidates will have to go through some key events. These are like the university interviews (PI) that it will conduct, the group discussions (GD) and other legal forms of application.

The Important Dates for SNAP 2019 Test:

The SNAP Admit Card 2019

The registration for the SNAP exam 2019 will begin on the last week of August 2019. The registrations for the same will close by the last week of November 2019. After the candidates complete the application process and the university reviews them, the SNAP authorities will release the online admit card for the test. It shall be available for download from the first week of December 2019 to the second week of December 2019.

Candidates willing to gain the first-hand experience of the test can apply for the mock tests conducted by the university. The process helps candidates gain experience. It lets them time their knowledge and skills as per the schedule and intensity of the examination. The said mock tests will release around the second week of December. Moreover, the authorities will also declare the availability of the SNAP admit card.

The SNAP exam dates for the year of 2019 has not yet been made public or released in any form. It is speculated, the SNAP exam dates will be around the second week of December 2019. And the answer key for the same shall release on the third week of December.

The authorities will publish the SNAP exam dates as soon as the half leg of the registrations finishes. Also, the SNAP exam result will be released by the second week of January 2020. Since the university is yet to release the exact dates, it is recommended to keep tabs on the tentative weeks as said above for better access and knowledge of the SNAP test.

The Eligibility Criterion for SNAP 2019:

The eligibility criterion for the SNAP 2019 exam depends on the caste a candidate belongs to, with a mandate of minimum graduate qualification and no age limit.

General category candidates: Must score a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute/university

SC/ST candidates: Must score a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized institute/university

International candidates: Must possess an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian universities.

Different abled students too can apply. The authorities grant reservations to the eligible candidates for Multiple Disabilities like Vision Impairment, Dyslexia, Locomotors Disabilities, Mental Retardation, and Hearing Impairment.

Note: Students belonging to the differently-abled section need to acquire the “Certificate of authenticity” inside a month of the starting of the program from SCHC (Symbiosis Centre of Health Care).
